Aho Architects works with governmental clients at municipal, county, state, and federal levels. We have particular expertise in managing projects where budgets, public finance and funding requirements, bidding, audits, and taxpayer accountability are critical. We have also managed projects that bring multiple governmental entities together under one roof.

We have decades of experience across the firm designing more than 65 government facilities, including military buildings, courthouses, city halls, fire stations, justice facilities, parks and recreation facilities, and state agency facilities.

We have significant expertise in water and wastewater utility projects as well, having completed or in progress more than 20 projects which include new and renovated treatment plants/process buildings, offices, capital improvements, and related work. We have a longstanding relationship with a Civil Engineering firm and a multi-disciplinary team specializing in serving these clients.

We are proud and honored by the fact that we average more than eight projects per government client, with one of them awarding us 21+ projects and counting. The construction value of our government projects is more than $34M.
